Emily Santos passed away peacefully on May 6, 2014, in Brentwood, California, at the age of 87.  Emily was born on November 3, 1926, at her home in Roberts Island, Stockton, California, to Antonio and Mariana Ferreira.  She is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Nelson Santos.
   She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Sarale of Stockton, CA, her grandson Tommy Sarale of Tracy, CA, and siblings Mary Machado of Ripon, CA, and Tony (Florence) Ferreira of Brentwood, CA.  In addition, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude Santos and brother, Joe Ferreira.
   Emily was a resident and active member of the Tracy community for many years.  She was a member of the IPFES, and a dedicated and active member of St.  Bernard’s Catholic Church.  Emily and her husband owned a super modified race car, #100, which was very well known throughout the racing community, and driven by local race car legends Stamati Gaglias, Tony Queirolo, and Johnny Brazil.
   A Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernards Catholic Church, followed by burial at Tracy Public Cemetery.  For condolences to the family, please visit www.frymemorialchapel.c om.
