Erald W. Choate, age 76, entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Hughson, CA. He was born in Gardena, CA on May 9, 1938.
   Erald is survived by his loving wife Darlene, his six children from their combined families, Staci Choate of Santa Clarita, CA, Patti Lopez of N. Carolina, Erald Choate of Newberg, Oregon, Kim EK of Hilo, Hawaii, Kelly EK of Boise, Idaho and Ray EK of Tracy, CA, 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
   Erald was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
   Erald loved fishing, Nascar, LA Lakers and LA Anaheim Angels.  He also enjoyed his 3 1/2 years living in Woodbridge, a senior community in Manteca, CA.  He enjoyed being an umpire, a neighborhood watch volunteer, drama club, and the choir.
   Erald was a kind and gentle man.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
   The family wishes to thank the Alexander Cohen Hospice Hospital for the compassionate care he received while there.  Erald generously donated his body to medical research.  As per his wishes, there will be no services.
