Esther was born October, 29, 1927 in Carnege, Oklahoma to Clyde and Rose Brumley.
She passed away peacefully on January 28, 2015 after a long illness resulting from complication from CVA. She was a resident of Pacifica, California, for 51 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hinds, her grandson Grant Hinds, her brother Woodrow Brumley sisters Pauline Okerson, Ruby Jane Clavern and Carmelia Elliott.
She is survived by three children, Calene Nichols, Steve Hinds and David Hinds; six grandchildren, Karissa Clayton, Adam Nichols, Lauren Tarpley, and John Stephen, Willie and Maggie Rose Hinds; four great grandchildren Camryn and Conner Clayton, Austin Nichols and Nolan Trapley; a brother Jack Brumley, sisters Juanita Rea, Mary Jo Mathews, Evelyn Noack, Joyce Dean Gatto and several nieces and nephews.
Esther graduated from Manteca High, class of 1946.
She loved books, travel and family reunions. Hospitality was one of her greatest strengths.
A memorial service was held at her home church in Pacific. Burial was at Parkview Cemetery.
