Eugene Harmer Davis
August 1, 1935-November 4, 2016
Eugene Harmer Davis K

Gene passed away November 4, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Stockton with his family at his side. Born August 1, 1935 in Berkeley, he was a California boy all his life. Growing up in Torrance, Gene surfed, played tennis and developed his life long affinity for joyfully spending time with family and friends. He attended UC Berkeley and lived in the East Bay Area for many years. Gene most recently made a retirement move with his loving wife, Cathie to their dream home in Manteca. Gene’s artistic nature flourished there as his stained glass skills bloomed into a business, where he was able to passionately share his love of the art as teacher and mentor.
Gene was an active member of Crossroads Grace Community Church, where he often sang in the choir. His love of music shone at family gatherings when his ukulele always came out. He leaves a legacy of love, art, laughter and music to a family which includes his wife of 38 years, Cathie; his children and grandchildren: daughter Pam and Randy Lorimer, Ryleigh and Beck; son Jim and Andrea Martin, Tessa and Gabrielle; daughter Joanna and John Mykkanen,  Courtney, Christopher and Cameron; his sister Lynn Murphy and his brother Willy Davis.
Gene’s life will be  celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2016 at
2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Grace Community Church, 1505 Moffat Blvd., Manteca, CA 95336. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to “Crossroads Music Ministry”. On the memo line, please note “in honor of Gene Davis”.
