Flora Perez Oxendine, 83, of Manteca, CA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2013 with her beloved son, Joseph Abel Hernandez by her side along with family and friends.
Flora is survived by her only son, Joseph Abel Hernandez of Manteca, CA, brother Ruben Perez of Manteca, CA, sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Frank D. Murillo of Lathrop, CA, sister in-law Helen Perez of French Camp, CA and nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Flora was born on November 9, 1929, in Billings, Montana, and relocated to California in 1951. Flora and her late husband Leonard Oxendine owned and operated “Oxendine’s Building Maintenance,” providing janitorial services to various businesses throughout the central valley.
Flora loved and faithfully served the Lord for over 35 years, encouraging and sharing the gift of the gospel. Flora was always so elegant, friendly and loving. You could find Flora talking and joking with any and everyone. Close family and friends always received loving affection from her. Flora had a huge appreciation of all types of music. She enjoyed dancing, reading and crafts, but she was happiest when spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, California, on Friday, May 10th, 2013. Viewing at 10:00am with Funeral Service at 11:00am and burial to follow.
