Florence Jacqueline Lowney “Jackie”, 83, entered into rest January 14, 2013 in Modesto, California. She was born September 28, 1929 in Boston, MA. In heaven she joins her husband, Robert James Lowney, as well as granddaughter Rachael Leticia Suliven.

Jackie leaves behind her loving children, David Robert Lowney and husband, James Tutt of Sacramento, Helen Beth McKinsey of Manteca, Christopher Bryan Lowney of PA, Andrew James Lowney and wife Helene of Woodcrest, and Jennifer June Suliven and husband Joseph of Sacramento.

She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Justin Michael Lowney, Bryan James Lowney, Benjamin Michael McKinsey, Hilary Beth McKinsey, Christopher Evan McKinsey, Jacob Andrew McKinsey, Kelly Lowney, Grace Jaqueline Lowney, Ariella Helene Lowney, Andy Nicole Lowney, Jonathan Phillip Suliven, Robert Suliven, Joseph Suliven and Veronica Anne Porter. Jackie had seven great grandchildren.

She has three surviving siblings, Gladwyn Evangline Voigt and husband Bud of RI, Barbara Morton and David Williams.

Jackie was a Manteca resident for 26 years. She was a faithful member of Manteca Presbyterian Church, serving as passed Deacon as well as member of the Manteca Federated Woman. Jackie was her children’s number 1 cheerleader along with her late husband, Bob. She kept her children active in numerous sports and would dress in the team colors to show her spirit. As time went on she would be doing the same for her grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved her dearly and tenderly called her Nina instead of grandma. Jackie loved playing any bridge surrounded by family and friends. She will be remembered for her loving spirit and her zest for life. She will truly be missed.

P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road is honored to be serving the Lowney Family. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 17 from 3pm to 5pm at P.L. Fry and Son. A chapel service will be held in her honor on Friday, January 18th at 10 am at P.L. Fry and Son. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at East Union Cemetery.
