Florence passed away on December 18, 2017, at her Manteca home with her sons by her side. Florence was born in Bentin, Missouri, on September 7, 1933.  She moved to California as a young child and grew up in Salida.  She worked in various jobs throughout her life including grocery checking, retail clothing sales and dental office receptionist. Once out of the workforce, she became a full-time homemaker which was her greatest passion. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton E. Shembarger, and her mother, Bertha Ann Shembarger.  Florence is survived by her sons Gary Daniel (Kathleen) and Michael Daniel; three grandchildren Clint (Edy), Carissa and Katharine; and four great-grandchildren Haylie, Jacob, Daniel, and Wesley. At her request, there will be no services.
