Francois Albert Ziesel, of Ripon, CA went to be with the Lord September 23, at Pinecrest Lake after spending a beautiful morning on the lake fishing with his wife, son and family.   Francois was 64 years old. The family is deeply saddened by his passing but takes joy that he is no longer burdened by the struggles of his earthly body. 

   Francois’ infectious laugh and lovingly irreverent comments were a steady source of happiness and strength to his family. He was a gentle, loyal, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He was lovingly devoted to his wife and fiercely proud of children and grandchildren.

   Francois was born December 12, 1958, grew up in Ripon and lived here with his wife of 41 years, Lorajean. 

   Francois was predeceased by his father Willem Ziesel and sister Yvette Ziesel and is survived by his wife Lorajean, daughter Janese, son Mark and daughter-in-law Andrea and their children; Zoey and Zara, his mother Johanna, and sister Sandra Price.

   Francois worked for CT Brayton in Escalon for 34 years. He was proud of the many schools and businesses that he was able to help build in the community and often used his construction skills and expertise to help friends and family in their own projects. 

   Loved ones and friends are invited to join the family September 29, 2023 at Ripon Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life at Calvary Church in Ripon at 2:00 pm. 

   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Calvary Church in memory of Francois Ziesel.
