Frank Edward Asivido, 70, entered into rest on October 6, 2012 in Manteca, CA. He was born on September 14, 1942 in Stockton, CA. He joins his wife Carol Asivido as well as his parents Frank and Anna Nunes and Frank Asivido and Marilyn Miller in heaven.

Mr. Asivido is survived by his daughters; Gina Menasco (Ken) and Nicole Nichelson (Don). He was blessed by five grandchildren Zachary, Jacob, and Koryn Menasco and Wyatt and Blake Nichelson. He is also survived by his very special companion Karen Cambra.

Frank was a lifetime resident of Manteca. He graduated from Manteca High School in 1960. While attending MHS, Frank met his sweetheart Carol who he married in 1964. He was always supportive and fully involved with Carol’s special events where he teasingly called himself her “personal assistant.”  During his 47 years of marriage, Frank loved and cared for Carol until her passing in 2011. He was the owner of Asivido Almonds where he farmed for over 55 years. While farming, Frank worked for LOF for over 10 years. In early 1980 Frank made a career move working for Frito Lay as a driver, retiring after 20 years. After retirement in 2004 Frank then went to work for MUSD as a driver in the food service department. He was a member of the M.R.P.S. and Crossroads Grace Community Church. Frank was extremely devoted to his relationship with God; he frequently hosted home bible studies, which he enjoyed.

Frank never met a stranger, he was an affiliate with every local coffee club in Manteca and Ripon, where he enjoyed socializing with friends. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren supporting them in all that they were involved with; he was their biggest fan. He was a wonderful advisor always putting all situations in a perfect prospection. He was a devoted father, always loving, generous and fun. He was a simple man enjoying Sunday drives with his companion Karen or any beautiful day golfing with friends. Frank will be remembered as a perfect balance of a true gentleman always happy with a wonderful funny sense of humor. He will be missed.
