Frank G. Cargill, 83, of Manteca, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

He was born on May 4, 1925 in Oklahoma.  Frank was a heavy equipment operator for 16 years and a laborer for 10 years.

He loved to have family parties often.  Being a very close family was very important to him.

Frank Cargill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Emma Cargill of Manteca; 6 children, Bessie German, Sharon Cargill, John Cargill, Linda Cargill, Alvin Bruce Cargill, Glenda “Buddy” Cargill, all of Manteca; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; his brother J.D.; three sisters, Alta, Pauline, and Ilene; 4 sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and many who claimed him as their dad and grandfather.

Services for Frank will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Park View Memorial Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, with internment to follow at Park View Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca.
