Frank J. Dutra Sr., 83, entered into rest on May 17, 2010 in Manteca, California. He was born on April 20, 1927 in the Newman, CA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Mary Dutra. Frank joins his beloved daughter and princess in heaven who died just 12 hours prior to his death, the beautiful Victoria Martin. Frank wass also preceded in death by his 3 siblings Rita Menezes, Joe Dutra, and Alfred Dutra.

 Mr. Dutra is survived by his beautiful wife of 35 years Virginia Dutra of Manteca. His children are Kathleen Gomez of AZ., Judy Paulsey of WA., Shiloh Dutra of Manteca and Frank J. Dutra Jr. of Manteca. He was blessed by 15 grandchildren Stacey, Angie, Michael, Sheryl, Christina, Stephanie, Billy, Lacey, Mikel, Caleb, Nevaeh, Logan, Matthew, Gerald IV, Delicia as well as many great-grandchildren. In addition Frank has 3 siblings, Joaquin Menezes of El Capitola, Henry Menezes of Santa Cruz, and Harold Dutra of Gustine. He was a very special uncle to many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

 Frank was a truck driver for over 33 years for Teamsters Local 427 of Stockton. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Manteca. He was an avid 49er fan, sporting his 49er gear along with his daughter Victoria always voicing their love for their team. He enjoyed fishing, camping and just being outdoors. He was extremely enthusiastic about CB radios. He was very well known in the San Joaquin valley as “Lucky 7” with the local CB communicators. He was an amazing Grandpa, always doting over his grandchildren spoiling them with his love. Frank loved family get-togethers where there was BBQ’s, socializing and lots of joke telling. When his children were growing up he was very involved with the Delta Rebels and Sierra High Football where he received an award for “12th man on the field” always making sure the boys received hot chocolate on cold days and ice cold water on hot days. Frank will be remembered for his zest for life, for his fun-loving attitude, and for his compassionate unconditional love for his family. He will be missed.  

Mr. Dutra’s services will be held under the direction of P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 19, 2010 from 1 to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 3 p.m. held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St. Manteca. In lieu of flowers all donations can be sent to his daughter’s trust fund at Union Bank of California -  Victoria Martin Trust Fund Account Number 6631105480.
