Gary R. Costa, 66, entered into rest on June 26, 2010 in Stockton, California. He was born on November 8, 1943 in Stockton, California. He was a resident of Manteca for over 61 years.

Mr. Costa is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Costa. His children are Kim Beck of Modesto and Paul Costa and wife Casey of Manteca. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Timmy Beck, Brittany Costa, Philip Beck, Taylor Costa and Camryn Costa. He has one surviving brother Michael Costa and wife Gloria of Manteca and brother-in-law Don Elliott of Manteca.

Gary was in the food service for over 43 years owning Ted’s Meat Company in Stockton. He was a member of the Italian Athletic Club, Moose Lodge – Manteca, Spring Creek Golf and Country Club, Lahaina Yacht Club and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, game hunting and fishing. He and his wife Joan loved to travel; some of their favorite places to travel annually were Santa Cruz, Aptos, and Maui. He loved socializing with friends and family and commonly taking day trips to local casinos hoping to bring home the “big one.” He was always ready to listen to the latest greatest jokes just as much as he enjoyed retelling them to family and friends. Along with all of Gary’s clubs and interests, he always made sure family was first and foremost. He was a strong man who was always fair and honest. He was always respectful to others. His loyalty was like no other as he always gave with a loving spirit.

Mr. Costa’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A rosary will be recited Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E.
