Gary L. Gilbeau, 82, entered into rest on May 29, 2022 in Manteca, CA. He was born on September 13, 1939 in Stockton, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lillian Gilbeau, his first wife Carolyn Gilbeau married 53 years, son James Gilbeau, and two brothers, Albert and Donald Gilbeau.

   Mr. Gilbeau is survived by his wife of 8 years Sandra Gilbeau, daughters, Deanna Parsons (Mark), Sherri Schmidt (Tim) and Carolyn Gilbeau, step-children Ken Summers (Lynne), Kendra Martinsen (Steve) and Sheryl Randolph (Jeff). He was blessed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved unconditionally.

   Gary was raised in French Camp on the Gilbeau Family Hatchery Ranch. He attended French Camp Elementary School and graduated from Manteca High School in 1957 where he met his future wife Carolyn Haynes. After graduation, he joined the Navy where he worked as a Telecom Specialist and traveled the world with his family, including an extended assignment at the White House. He retired after 21 years of active service to his country. In 1976, Gary began his career outside of the military and started a successful telecom business (Delta Sound and Telephone) with his nephew Don. Gary also worked in civil service at Rough and Ready Island and officially retired in 2004. After the death of his wife, Gary found love again and married Sandra Fry Costa in 2013. Together Gary and Sandra enjoyed cooking, traveling and family dinners. Gary will be remembered as a devoted family man who loved God, family, and his country. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Gilbeau family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 

1:00 p.m. Both will be held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Park View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, Donor Care Center - P.O. Box 758541, Topeka, KS 66675-8541 or the Manteca Historical Society - 600 W. Yosemite Ave., Manteca, CA 95337.
