Gary Stephen Santos, 64, entered into rest on October 22, 2010 in Manteca, California. He was born on October 15, 1946 in Oakland, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Minnie Santos. He was a resident of Manteca for the past 16 years.

Mr. Santos is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Santos. His children are Liz Whaite and husband Kevin of Manteca and Gary Santos Jr. of Portland, Or. He was blessed by 3 grandchildren, Kristin and her husband Jeff McLarty of Manteca, Amber Nixon of Manteca, and Jordan Whaite of Camp Pendleton currently serving in Afghanistan, and 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Cole McLarty. In addition Gary has one surviving brother, Jim Santos of Salida.

Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, “puttering around” in his backyard and watching his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders. He also enjoyed reading and taking trips to Jackson Rancheria. He loved spending time with his family more than anything especially when it came to his great-grandchildren, spoiling them as much as possible.
