OBIT CHAVEZ

George Bustos Chavez, 65, entered into rest on Friday, October 14, in Manteca. He was born on July 24, 1946 in Merced. In heaven he joins his brother Frank Chavez as well as sister Isabel Reynoso.

He leaves behind his loving mother Lupe Chavez. His siblings are Joe Chavez of OR, Richard Chavez of Brentwood and Larry Chavez of CO. George leaves also many nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle dearly.

George was a veteran serving his country proudly through the Marines. He retired from Sharpe Army Depot after 30 years of service. George was a proud member of the PT Cruiser Club of Modesto. His PT Cruiser was his pride and joy winning multiple awards and trophies. His family was everything to him, he loved his mother immensely and he considered his nieces and nephews to be his own children. He will be remembered as a most loving son, outstanding brother and a true friend to all.

Arrangements for Mr. Chavez are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 19 from 1-7pm with a Rosary to follow. Vigil/Prayer service will be Thursday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son.
