George-Bristow-001-LT

George Mickeal Bristow “Too Tall”, 76, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home in Manteca. He was born on September 5, 1937 in Waterford to Clarence and Bernie Bristow. In heaven George joins his adored wife Carol along with their two children Bonnie and Johnny Bristow.

George leaves behind his loving family, sons, Marty Bristow and wife Christine of Manteca, Mike Bristow of Manteca and his daughter Susan Bristow of Oakdale. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Rocky Rhodes, Brandy Lee Bristow, Jason Rhodes, Amber Carrera, Matthew Bristow, Jonathan Bristow, Sean Bristow, Rachel Bristow, Carissa Bristow, Mikala Bristow and Madison Bristow. He has seven great grandchildren. In addition George has one surviving sibling Marguerite “Maggie” Bristow.

George was a lifelong Manteca resident. He retired after 30 years from Tracy Defense Depot. He was a proud member of the EVC Clampus Club and 99 Speedway. The roar of a motor was his greatest love; there was nothing he enjoyed more than racing. His personality was like no other; with a cold beer in his hand he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed football, and his faith for the Raiders never faded. Never judgmental, George saw the good in everyone. His doors were open to both family and anyone who need a warm home. He loved his family unconditionally. His sons were his best friends; as they followed their father in his passion for racing and his daughter was the apple of his eye. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. He will be remembered as a “Happy Go Lucky Guy” and for having a true heart of gold.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Bristow family. A Graveside service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, French Camp, CA.
