George Richard Schaapman passed away November 13, 2013, at the age of 57. George remained a life-long resident of San Joaquin County, where he worked for IBEW Union as an electrician for over 20 years. He was born August 21, 1956 in Stockton, CA. 
   George graduated from Manteca High School. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man. He loved to reminisce about old times and tell jokes.
   He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Schaapman of Manteca.  George is survived by his mother, Bessie Schaapman of Manteca, his children, Brandy Ivey and Keith Ivey of Manteca, brothers Randy R. Schaapman and Ronnie R. Schaapman of Manteca.  George had 5 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces and 5 great nephews. 
   George will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and all who loved him very much. 
   Funeral arrangements will be held at 11am, on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Church.
