George Thomas Hays, Jr., 68, of Manteca died November 29th at his home.    Dr. Hays was a native of Stockton. He lived in Manteca for 30 years. He was a chiropractor in Tracy where he worked alongside his wife and business partner Cathy for over 35 years. He was active in his community, and volunteered his residence as a polling place for 25 years. He was devoted to his patients, and had a passion for cooking. He loved reading, golf, and above else his family.
   He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hays of Manteca; daughters, Ona Young (Scott) of Turlock and Lucia Hall (Ole) of Oakland; son, George Hays (Akiko) of Tokyo, Japan; grandsons, Christopher, Kyle and Ian Young of Turlock.
   A private memorial service was held on December 6th for his family. In remembrance of Dr. Hays, the family asks that those who knew him cook their favorite meal in his honor.
