Geraldine Margaret Avila, 81, entered into rest on April 4, 2019 in Sacramento. She was born July 5, 1937 in Fresno, California to the late Lang and Margaret Louie.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years Edward Avila; her children; Edward Avila (Linda) of Stockton and Margaret Palesch of Manteca. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Lyndy Silva, Melissa Avila, Alec Palesch, Alyssa Palesch and 5 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings; Nancy Martel, Vivian Niceler, Robert Louie and Gloria Perez.
Geraldine was a Manteca resident her entire life. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church where she enjoyed Sunday mass. She was a wonderful seamstress, precise with every stitch. She was kind and loved unconditionally. She loved her family dearly and truly enjoyed caring for them. She had a true heart of gold and never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirt.
P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Avila family. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Mass will be held on April 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 East North Street, Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon, CA.
