With family members present, Gladys Church, loving mother and grand- mother, departed this life on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Sandy Springs, Georgia at the age of 83.

Known as “Church” by friends and acquaintances, she was a spirited individual with a kind and generous heart, a strong and faithful follower of Jesus Christ.  Until health restricted her activities, she touched and uplifted the lives of others through her ministry Upward Grasp, and was member of the Manteca Seventh Day Adventist Church in California.  Two of her favorite scriptures were Psalm 91 and Isiah 40:31.     She graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and retired from the Department of Defense with over 24 years of service. She had a passion for helping and determining if defense suppliers could deliver to our soldiers what they needed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William and son Lawrence and survived by her three children, Peggy, Darlene, and Olivia, three grandchildren, John, Renata and Brittany, and other family members.  Her life will be honored by recognizing the most important thing is having a personal relationship with God, being saved, and living a Christian life.  Collectively, we say, we love and miss you mom and grandma.

A private family viewing and interment was held on Monday, November 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the West Laurel Hill Cemetery and Funeral Home in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
