Glenn was born in South Dakota, and was the only child of Glenn and Mary Page. He married Lois (Steffen) in 1954 and they have two children, Kent who passed away in 2016 and Kelley (Tim) Tucker. They were blessed with four grandchildren, Brenna (Josh), Kaylee, Chuck and Desiree and four great-grandchildren, Marlee, Ashton and Caden. Glenn also had a dog who was like his third child and his shadow, sadly, “Harley” passed away 3 months ago.
Glenn graduated from high school in Mitchell, South Dakota and went into the Air Force, proudly serving his country for four years. After his enlistment was over he attended Delta College, Hillsdale College and Dana University. He has a Master’s Degree in Pumpkinology and a minor in Gourdology.
Glenn served many organizations throughout the years, President of the Transportation Club of Pueblo, CO (1975), President of the Manteca District Chamber of Commerce and the Stockton Traffic Club, the San Joaquin County Economic Association, the Manteca Morning Rotary Club where he was a Charter President, President of the Lathrop Chamber of Commerce (1990 and 1997), AARP Chapter President, President of Good Wine Industries of Southern Colorado which included Colorado Springs and Pueblo, President of San Joaquin County Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Lathrop Senior Advisory Commission. Glenn also served ten years on the E.D.A. board from Stockton, served on the American Cancer Society Board, American Heart Association, Daffodil Days Board, served on the Commission Aging and the Council of Government. Currently Glenn was active serving on the San Joaquin County Mosquito Vector Board.
In addition, Glenn was the driving force behind the Lathrop Sunrise Rotary Charter. He was involved in different Rotary, so he understood the benefits that Rotary brings to the community. He was the first president when they chartered in 2002.Glenn was always the person who always brought humor to every situation and crowd.
Glenn also received awards for the Rotary Walk-a-Thon for the tallest Rotarian, and he was named Traffic Manager of the year, Trucker of the year, Aspen Academy for Institutional Development and received the Rotary Citation for Service in Public Relations.
P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Page family. A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. held at P.L .Fry and Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.
