Glenda “Jody” White, 67, entered into rest on November 19, 2011 in Manteca, California. She was born on December 10, 1943 in Freeport, Illinois. She joins her husband in Heaven Lanny White as well as her father Joseph Jameson and her
granddaughter Kassy Atnip.

Jody is survived by her mother Opal Jameson of Manteca. She has two loving daughters Dennisa Harris of Glencoe and Dani Bell of Mokelumne Hill. She had one step-daughter Dana Ashbee of Bakersfield. Jody was blessed with six grandchildren Sarah Harris, Katy Atnip, Taylor Harris, Kori Ashbee, Maci Ashbee, and Nikki Bell as well as two great-grandchildren Landen Lopez and Haidyn Cox. Her sisters are Linda Riggs of Modesto, Donna Preston of Manteca and Willa Duncan of Oakdale.

Jody was a resident of Manteca for the past four years but made her home previously in Mountain Ranch for over 35 years. Jody never met a stranger, she was always friendly, outgoing and loving to everyone she knew. She was a rock hound and enjoyed panning for gold.  She always had her Dachshund “Oscar” at her side which was her best friend and her companion. Volunteering at Second Harvest for Jody brought great delight to her heart. She enjoyed working with people and helping them any way possible. Jody was a “one of a kind gem” she always left a smile on your face and a positive spirit in your heart. She will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the White family. A memorial celebration will be held on Friday December 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Methodist Church 910 East North Street Manteca.
