Grace Elizabeth Hibbs 79, entered into rest on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 in Manteca. She was born on July 12, 1931 in Everett, MA.  She is preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Hibbs, parents Agustino and Irene Scenna, and brothers Rocco and Rudy.

She leaves behind her loving husband Norman Edwards Hibbs of Livermore/Manteca and their children; Eileen Pratt and husband Dave of Ceres and Susan Hibbs of Livermore. She was blessed with one grandchild Megan Pratt of Ceres. Grace leaves sisters; Eleanor Hall and Irene Elliot.

Before making her home in Manteca Grace was a resident of Livermore. She was a homemaker and lived for her husband and her children.  She spent time with her husband watching TV enjoying a good game of football and cheering on her favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers.  She had a passion for golf and was a real Tiger Woods fanatic. Through all of Grace’s battles in life the one she fought most valiantly was breast cancer. She was a true fighter and never let that get in the way of living life to the fullest.  She will be remembered as a devout wife, loving mother, grandmother and champion.

Arrangements for Mrs. Hibbs are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1604 Ford Ave., Modesto 95350.
