Halleigh Rae “Halleigh-bug” Parker, 14, was born and raised in Modesto and moved to Spokane, Washington, in 2007. Halleigh loved to read, she loved to draw and she loved her animals.

She was always bringing home stray animals to “save” them from ill-fortune. Halleigh was very friendly and she loved to talk to people. She was very caring, kind and compassionate. She had an easy-going demeanor. With great sadness Halleigh relinquished life on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. She was surrounded by her loving family. Halleigh’s legacy of love and caring will carry on with the donation of her tissues to others in need.

Halleigh is survived by her parents, Scott and Abigail Parker, Dan and Chrissy Flake; brother John; sisters, Kailien, Alicia, Haley and Taegan; great-grandparents, Max and Shirley Haller; grandparents, Jim and Kathi Parker, Bob and Hang Soon McAmis, Cami McAmis, Margaret O’Dell and Ginger Tornquist; uncles and aunts, Brian O’Dell, Mike and Ronna Parker, Russ and Chris Bernard, Phil and Wendy Tornquist, Mike and Elainna Tornquist, Ashley and Jennifer Tornquist, Jason and Shannon Brown; and ten cousins, whom she dearly loved.

Halleigh will now be one of God’s newest angels, and we all gain comfort in knowing she is wrapped in His Heavenly arms.
