Mr. Harold A. White, age 82, passed away on March 8, 2009 in Manteca.  Mr. White was born on March 31, 1926 in Hornick, Iowa.

Mr. White served his country in the United States Navy 1944-1946 and then went to work as a supervisor at Sharpe Army Depot Center in Lathrop, where he retired after 30 years of service.  Mr. White was a member and Deacon at Free Will Baptist Church in Manteca and more recently he attended Church of God in Manteca.  He enjoyed fishing, listening to Gospel music, and cooking (he made the best apple pies).  

Mr. White is survived by his wife Ada (Louise) White, his son Don White (wife Diane) of Manteca, his daughter Linda Morford of Tracy, grandchildren Ricci Morford, Cynthia White, Monica Anaya, Brian White, and Travis White, and seven great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Edyth White, his first wife Ruby O. White, his brother Marion White, and his sister Edna K. Stevens.

Visitation will be today, March 11, 2009, noon to 7 p.m. at ABC Wallace Funeral Home located at 445 N. American St. in Stockton, and a Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.  Committal will take place at East Union Cemetery in Manteca.
