Hazel Irene Miner, 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at home in Manteca.  She was born on March 1, 1929 in Jonesborough, Arkansas.  A resident of Manteca for the past 42 years, she leaves behind her children; Terry Miner and wife, Debbie of Manteca, Teresa Tanaka and husband, Jason of Valley Springs, Tonia Agbayani and husband, Tony of Manteca, Becky Boudreau and husband, Rodney of Red Bluff.  Step-children; Ron Miner and wife, Rose of Benicia, and Darlene Salazar of Woodland. She was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.

Hazel married the love of her life, Timateo (Tim) Miner on November 10, 1958 in Vallejo, CA. Together they shared a wonderful life for nearly 25 years before his untimely passing in 1983. Hazel worked as a waitress and cook but her favorite occupation was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured her family beyond words and looked forward to all their family gatherings. Hazel’s favorite past time was gardening, baking, camping and fishing. 

Hazel will forever be loved by her mother, Carrie Green, husband Timateo Miner, son, Philip; grandson Donny Miner; sisters Nadine Chamberlain, Melba Gregson and Vivian Van Ness.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Freedom Christian Center, 700 North Union Road, Manteca.  Interment will be private. Final resting place is at Park View Cemetery. P.L. Fry & Son is handling all funeral arrangements. An online guest book is also available at www.plfryandson.com for signing and remembrances.
