Hedi Gomes, 79, entered into rest on October 24, 2021 in Manteca, Ca. She was born in Germany on February 15, 1942. She is preceded in death by her husband Tony Gomes and her sister Annalee Baron.
Hedi is survived by her loving family; Lisa Walsh (Jim), Anthony Gomes (Ophelia), grandchildren; Ashley (Lane), Andrew, Mike, Candice (Billy), Justin, Stephen, Brandon, Cruz, Cali, Ethan and Emmie, great-grandchildren Addisyn, Kurt, Dallas, Brinley, Brighton and Bryce, siblings Mike Baron (Julie), Helga Wolfe and Gertrud Freund. Additionally, Hedi is survived by her companion Rocky Wilson and many extended family members who loved her dearly.
Hedi was a native of Germany and has lived in Manteca for over 70 years. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the According Club. Hedi was a devoted mother and grandmother; her love for her family was unconditional. She absolutely loved volunteering with community events with her companion Rocky. With a full heart and a smile, Hedi and Rocky served the community through Flags over Manteca, countless VFW events and many other fundraisers and nonprofit events. They thoroughly enjoyed each other with their nightly dinners together, lunches and mingling with family and friends. Hedi will be remembered for her spunky outspoken spirit and her loving heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Gomes family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 3:30pm to 7:30 pm held at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11am also held at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery 17871 S. Carrolton Rd., Escalon, Ca.
