Helen “Dorothy” Hitner, 87, entered into rest on November 26, 2011 at Doctors Hospital in Manteca. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 5, 1924.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 69 beautiful years Thomas Hitner. She was blessed with two sons Tommy Hitner and wife Peggy and Phillip Hitner. She adored her three grandchildren; Courtney French, Ronette Hitner, Lisa Lester as well her four great grandchildren Sydney Goodhart, Justin Lester, Emma and David French.

Dorothy was married to her sweetheart Tom in 1942. Together they made their home in Manteca where they raised their two boys and where members of the Church of Christ in Manteca as well as Stockton. Dorothy was an avid bible reader. She loved to quote scripture by heart as her favorite was Psalms 23. She enjoyed going out to dinner with her husband and family. She will be remembered as a sweet lady with a heart of gold. She will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Hitner family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 30, from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. also held at P.L. Fry. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Church of Christ of Manteca 346 N Sherman Manteca 95336.
