Helen Gonzalez bw

Helen Lucille Gonzalez, 79, entered into rest on August 19, 2014, in Manteca, California. She was born on July 24, 1935, in Berkeley, California, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Pearl McLaughlin. She joins her parents in heaven as well as, her brother, Tommy.
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Carlos Gonzalez. Her children are Michelle Anderson, Steve Booker, Teresa Anderson, Kimberly Booker, Marc Booker, Angelique Simons, Nicole Shocky, and Tiffany Gonzalez. In addition to her own children, Helen became a mother to her daughters friends; Pam Rosser, Sharon Cavanagh, and Kim Jazelin, who lost their mother at a very young age. She was blessed by 30 grandchildren and adored her 12 great-grandchildren. She has five surviving brothers; Jack, Bob, Patrick, Jim, and Richard McLaughlin.
Helen was a homemaker taking great pride in providing a daily routine to her husband and many children; she truly lived for them, putting them first and foremost. She was always a giver as her doors were always open to anyone who was in need. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed the simple things in life; cooking, painting her nails, crocheting, and reading suspenseful novels. She collected beautiful rosaries and angels which adorned her home. Helen’s loving spirit and her sweet demeanor will never be forgotten. She will be missed.
