Hendrene Hattie Oldenkamp

Hendrene (Hattie) Oldenkamp went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home in Ripon at the age of 93. 

   Hattie was born on September 23, 1928 in Doon, Iowa to parents, William and Nellie Lokhorst. She moved to Southern California in 1952 and eventually settled in Ripon in 1998 where she has resided ever since.

Hattie worked for over 30 years at a drug store, managing the gift department. She enjoyed spending her time in bible study and was a faithful member of Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon. She was a very talented needleworker, making beautiful embroidery for quilt blocks. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her gorgeous rose garden. Her passion was cooking and collecting recipes.  Above all else, Hattie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her generous heart and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

   Hattie leaves behind her two daughters, Helen Woosley and Janice Pirschel (Charles), her grandchildren, Rev. Jesse Pirschel (Linette) and Leslie Yoder (Jeffrey) and her great-grandchildren, Maya Morrison (Nicholas), Solomon Pirschel, Silas Pirschel, Israel Pirschel, Eden Yoder and Aksel Yoder and one great-great- grandchild on the way.             Hattie is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Oldenkamp and six siblings.  Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Oldenkamp family. A chapel service is scheduled for Friday, April 29th, at 11:00 a.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, followed by graveside at Ripon Cemetery.
