Hilda (Geri) Elias
September 24, 1931-March 17, 2015
Hilda Elias BW

Celebration of life is at Calvary Community Church, 815 W. Lathrop Road, Manteca.  Celebration starts at 10:30 a.m. Hilda (Geri) Elias was born on Sept. 24, 1931 to Joseph and Virgina Aguiar in Oakland, Ca. She passed away at Manteca Care and Rehab alongside her family on March 17.
Hilda (Geri) is survived by her children Norman Elias; JoAnn Donges, Daryl Elias, one deceased child Sheryl McDaniel. She has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren with two on the way. Hilda loved her children more than anything. A single mother of four she worked hard to give them everything she could. Mostly she gave them love. She raised her children in Castro Valley, Ca.  She worked as an accountant for Wysinger trucking company in San Leandro, Ca. Hilda loved doing accounting work for many years.  She did taxes out of her home as a side business to help run her household. She had a passion for sewing and was a gifted seamstress making clothing for her daughters and granddaughters. She loved crafts of all kinds; she knitted sweaters and love to paint porcelain dolls. She was incredibly gifted. You could find Hilda curled up doing her crossword puzzles and her passion was studying the bible: she spent every night in her bed studying God’s word. Hilda had been involved with the ladies ministry at Calvary Community Church.  She loved being a part of women’s lives helping them through difficult times. She was fun loving and she was also very passionate about life and how we were all to live. To be good, honest,
trust worthy people who loved the lord and helped others in need. She would help anyone who needed it at any time, even if it meant giving the last of what she had. She touched the lives of many people throughout her years, especially the nurses at Manteca Care and Rehab. Geri will be greatly missed by her family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Geri’s name to any charity of your choice as we know this is what would please her. She supported many causes in her long life especially those involving pets, missionaries, and homeless.
