Irene Andrade was born on March 25, 1918 in the Azores and passed away at Manteca Care & Rehab Center on Tuesday, May 11. She was 92 years old.  

She worked at Escalon Packers and loved working there until she was 72 years old.  She had been a resident of Escalon for over 60 years, where she owned a dairy on Lone Tree Road with her husband Sergio.  She enjoyed living there and had a beautiful flower garden; she sold the dairy after her husband Sergio passed away in 1971.  She was an extremely kind & generous person who was very faithful to her religion.  Her passion in life was to help people, and she enjoyed crocheting, taking walks and baking her delicious cookies and sweetbread.

 She is survived by her daughters Alice & husband Paul Peterson of Carmichael, and Barbara Paddack of Escalon; her grandsons Dan & wife Sarah Paddack of Oceano, and Kevin & wife Jill Paddack of Manteca; and three great-grandchildren Larkin Paddack, Bella Paddack and Holden Paddack.  

Visitation will be on Monday, May 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.   Rosary/Mass will be on Tuesday, May 18, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon with burial following at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon.
