Irene Evelyn McDonald passed away early Wednesday morning, May 19.She was 80 years old and had been a resident of Escalon for the past 64 years.  

She was adored by her children; Robert Collins of Escalon, Carolin Collins-Melogno of Manteca, Richard Collins of Omaha, NB, and Debbie Brainerd of Knights Ferry; her grandchildren Kelly Collins of Escalon, Lara Glebe of Stockton, Kevin Collins of Escalon, Jeff Collins of Ceres, Tammy Collins of Ripon, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as her brother Richard “Mac” McDonald of Gold Beach, OR, and her sister Fay Ruth Peterson of Escalon.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.  Her service will be on Monday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon with burial following at 11:30 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
