Irene K. Acosta 75, entered into rest on October 6, 2015 at her home in Stockton, CA.  She was born May 16, 1940 in Bakersfield, CA. to Henry Garcia and Mary Lou Davis. She has lived in the San Joaquin Valley for 65 years and attended Escalon High School.  Irene was married to Joseph Acosta for 32 years.  She retired from the San Joaquin County Instructional Media Center after 21 years of service. She also worked in the nursing field for 18 years. She was a member of the Stockton Lioness Club and enjoyed baking, knitting and gardening.
   Irene was preceded in death by her son Paul Corral, her father Henry Garcia, her mother Mary Lou Davis and her husband Joseph Acosta.
   Irene is survived by her two sons Steve Corral, Michael Corral and her daughter Karen Corral.  Irene is also survived by her six sisters, three brothers, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
   A visitation service will be held at De Young Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA. from 4pm- 6pm on October 13, 2015, a Rosary service to follow at 6pm.
   A Church service will be held at Presentation Church, 6715 Leesburg Pl., Stockton, CA. at 10am on October 14, 2015.  Burial will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA. Remembrances may be made in her honor to the Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton CA. 95204.
