Irene Kathrine Schneider, 85, entered into rest on Monday, July 13, 2009 in Ripon. She was born on May 12, 1924 in New York, New York and has been a resident of Ripon for over 42 years. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 19 years Bill Holloway, as well as her second husband Bill Schneider of 41 years, who just passed on October 28, 2008. She also joins her two children in heaven Ken Holloway and Gary Holloway and her siblings Michael Majersky, Anthony Majersky, Emily Henning, and Elise Majersky.

Mrs. Schneider is survived by Irene A. Comer and husband Charles of Ripon, Bill Holloway and wife Bev of Manteca, Darryle Enafinger of Kentucky and Sharon Duff of Folsom. She was bless by 13 grandchildren Penny, Chrstine, Randy, Robbie, Meagen, William Dennis, Rocklyn, Sean, Adam, Michael, Jill, Jennifer and Colby. In addition she has 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Irene was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for over 40 years. To Irene, family was always her number one priority. She cherished every moment with her children, and all her grandchildren. She enjoyed entertaining her family with home cooked meals. Her love for traveling, fishing and the great outdoors made for great family camping trips to Don Pedro. She had a gift of playing the piano and singing. In her younger years she loved dancing; her and Bill even took lessons at Shasta School in Manteca. Her legacy will live on through her generous attitude towards others and her loving heart that she shared with everyone. Her memory will go on through her Cherry Kool-Aid and crushed ice, and the famous 20 mile trips just for a See’s Candies’ sucker.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Schneider’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A Visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, from 1 – 6 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, followed by a Vigil at 6 p.m. in the Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 20, 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 19399 East Highway 120, Ripon.  The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Schneider’s name to St. Patrick’s Church.
