Jack Snyder passed away surrounded by family on April 20, 2021 in Manteca, California.  
   He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara. He was blessed with four children and two stepchildren, Scott (Laura) Snyder of Sebastapol, Sue Ann (Dallas) Fink of Manteca, Steven (Kim) Snyder of San Jose, Sherry (Dave) Frisk of New Smyrna Beach, FL and his step-children Debbie Bowen of Manteca and Lisa Crowley of Covington, Louisiana. He had 11 grandchildren and five step-granchildren, Jackie Snyder, Vivian Snyder, Amber Cantrell, Paul Fink, Ian Fink, Emily Fink, Hope Gallegos, Cory Snyder, Reuben Thissen, Hannah Wetterstrom, and Sarah Sedillo. His step-grandchildren are Matthew Crowley, John Crowley, Cody Silva, Michael Bowen and Erika Silva. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Rosellen Snyder.
   Jack was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 25, 1926 and moved to Manteca in 1962 where he made an impact on the community that lasts to this day. After serving in the United States Army Air Corp, he went on to work as an industrial relations manager at Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company. Jack was instrumental in many projects that directly benefited the citizens of Manteca including the 120 Bypass, The SHARP Unit, the creation of Woodward Park and countless Crab Feeds and activities benefiting the Boys and Girls Club. Jack was a member of the Manteca Hall of Fame and served on the City Council for 24 years and was the Mayor of Manteca. Jack was an excellent delegator and master list maker. Regardless of what people thought of his politics or the way he went about getting things done, he was effective and driven. Jack has a lengthy resume of committees, community events and volunteer activities. He will not only be remembered for what he contributed to Manteca, but will also be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and huge fan of his evening cocktail, Jack Daniels.
