Jack Dempsey Rogers

April 27, 1927- August 28, 2018


   Jack Rogers passed away at the age of 91. Jack was named after the famous boxer Jack Dempsey.

   Jack was a proud son, husband, father, and grandpa; preceded in death by his parents Emzie E. Rogers, Ruby Jewel Rogers, and step-mother Halley Rogers, sisters Geraldine Harrington, Virginia Hague, brother in law Harry Harrington and nephew Jack Hague. 

   Jack will forever be remembered by his loving wife Gail Rogers of 48 years, their son Jack D. Rogers Jr., his three daughters Barbara Loux, Diane Yoshida, Carey Deininger,  son in laws Mike Loux, Sab Yoshida, Ronald Deininger,  sister in laws Vicky Marsh, Ruby Brewer, Shari Acosta, Susan Del Pino, brother in laws Ron Del Pino, Jeff Brewer, Frank Acosta; five grandchildren Elizabeth Gamponia, Kathryn Loux, Ted Yoshida, Sara Deininger, and Jacob Rogers, and many nieces and nephews.

   Jack was born in Muldrow Oklahoma. After serving in the US Navy he moved to California in the 40’s where his family joined him and resided for the next 70 years.

   Jack was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #713 for years; later in business for himself as a commercial general contractor. Jack was a man that always worked to support his family.

Jack enjoyed the outdoors. Camping, boating, and dune buggy riding on the beach with family and friends was a favorite pastime.

   Jack was all about his family a true family man and we will forever miss him.

The family will have a celebration of life for Jack on September 22, 2018 in the East Bay.
