James Clarence Watson entered into eternal rest on December, 4, 2012 at Doctor’s Hospital of Manteca. He was born November 11, 1927 in Alabama to the late Calvin and Lucille Watson. James leaves behind his daughter Becky Carroll and son-in-law, Chuck of Manteca, his son Jim Watson and daughter-in-law Bridgett of Modesto, stepsons Joe and Larry Vielma of Manteca, grandchildren Richard, Chad and Shawn Carroll and Danielle and Nichole Watson, great grandchildren Kaleena and Delaney Carroll and Trevor Watson, as well as a step great-grandson Trenton. Besides his parents mentioned above, he was preceded in death by his brothers Chester and Melvin Watson, and his beloved granddaughter Melissa Watson.

James served in the US Army for 22 years plus, and traveled to many countries during that time, as well as served in the Korean War. He loved his family gatherings, fishing, hunting, playing cards, bingo and going to the casinos. In later years he began a hobby of making ladies bracelets for his family and  friends at Prestige Senior Living where he lived and thoroughly enjoyed. While living there he was in charge of music hour every week and the joke of the month for the monthly newsletter.

His funeral will be hosted at Parkview Chapel in French Camp, on Friday, December 7, at 1:00 pm, where he will also be laid to rest. Pastor Steven Cole Will be officiating the service and we will be gathering at the Northgate Community Church Social Hall after the services.
