James “Jim” Breakfield, 69, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Manteca. He was born Sept. 6, 1940 in Stockton and was a resident of Manteca for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marianna Y. Breakfield; children, Connie Latrell Breakfield and husband Arthur of Watsonville, Jimisa Breakfield of Stockton, James Denney Breakfield and wife LaVaughan of Elk Grove, and Angela Roland of Manteca; siblings, Carolyn Berens and husband Morris of Long Beach and Robert “Bob” Breakfield and wife Jean of Adin; grandchildren, Nicole Roland, Emily Shea Breakfield, Ryan James Breakfield, Ricky Roland, Damien Roland, and Desi Roland. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late James and Jean Breakfield, and nephew Robert “Bobby” Breakfield.

Jim retired after 47 years of service as a crane operator for Best/Occidental Chemical/Simplot companies. He was a member of the “Highland” Four Wheel Drive Club. Jim was a hunter, fisherman and he also loved nothing more than to be camping with friends and family. The family would like to thank all the family and friends for their love and support during Jim’s time of need.

Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 21, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Road. Final resting place will be private.
