James Logan West was born January 20th, 1927 to Robert and Sally West in Harrison, Arkansas.  He served in the Army in the mid-40’s and met Helen Armstrong on December 26th, 1946. They married on February 8th, 1947 and this year celebrated 68 wonderful years together as man and wife. The Wests lived in the bay area where James was a tanker truck driver for Mobil Oil for over 40 years.  For the past 25 years they have been retired in Manteca, CA.  James loved his family, traveling in the motor home, and spending time at home with Helen.  His skills, knowledge, and creativity were evident in his many do-it-yourself projects.  He could do anything and loved everyone.  He will forever be our precious Papa.  Bless his angel heart.
James is preceded in his journey to heaven by both his parents, his brother Nat West, his sister Katy Griffin, and his youngest daughter, Terrie (Robin) Graham.
James is survived by his loving wife, Helen West, his daughter, Iris (Jim) Loushin, his grandchildren Matthew and Jimmy Loushin, Jennifer (Tim) Graham-Gregson, Julie (David) Craigg, and Garrett (Sandy) Graham.  James also has seven great-grandchildren that brought joy to his life.  Mr. James Logan West, our precious Papa, will be missed terribly.
P.L Fry & Son is honored to be serving the West family. A visitation will be held at 10:15 am on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N.
