James Michael Del Dotto, 78, entered into rest on February 26, 2020 at his home in Manteca.  James was born on October 16, 1941 to the late Frank and Frances Del Dotto.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 47 years, his three children, Tina Del Dotto of Long Beach, Jenny Del Dotto- Blackwell and husband Joseph of Manteca, and Michael James Del Dotto of Turlock.  James was a proud “Pa-Pa” to his two grandchildren, John Michael and Kendall Marie.  He is also survived by his brother and nephew, Ed and Jeff Del Dotto, of Merced.
He was born and raised in Merced and graduated from Merced High School.  James and Mary would go on to live in Modesto, Las Vegas, and ultimately settled in Manteca.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving our Country in Vietnam.  It was there that he trained and practiced as a professional barber.  He would then go into carpentry and later dedicated much of his life to a family-owned business conducting financial opportunity seminars throughout the United States.  One of his favorite places to work and visit was New York, home to his favorite baseball team, the Yankees.  James was a first-class billiards player and would never pass up a poker game.  Spending time with his family was by far his favorite thing to do.  He lived a tremendous life, filled with the love of his family and friends.  James will forever be missed and remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, “Pa-Pa”, and the patriarch of our family.
