Janet Marie Dengate
May 11, 1977-October 15, 2015
Janet Marie Dengate bw

Janet Marie Dengate, 38, entered into rest on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in  Manteca. She was born in Stockton on May 11, 1977 to Gerald and Debra Dengate, who have both preceded her in death.
Janet leaves behind her grandparents, Lois and Harold Monks of Stockton, her sister Jennifer Keller and husband Frank of Salida and her only niece Abigail Keller as well as her half-brother David Elliot of Stockton.
In addition Janet leaves her god parents, John and Diane Hachman, as well as uncles, aunts and extended family members.
Janet was a Manteca resident. She attended the local grammar schools and graduated from Manteca High School. She would then become a Preschool teacher, and that would be her greatest accomplishment. Janet was known for compassion and love for all of God’s creatures. She had a special place in her heart for children and animals. She had the ability to love selflessly. She was a kind soul; she would always put the ones she loved above herself even if it would mean her going without. Her biggest joy was her niece, Abby and they had such a special bond.  She was an artist, a crafter, an adventurer and a nurturer. She had a true love of music and loved to share that with the world. She found beauty in the simple things in life; looking at the stars and moon, watching a sunset, sitting at the beach watching and listening to the wave’s crash. Her light touched so many lives and what we can do in her honor is just live a little more like she did. Show kindness, compassion and love in your everyday lives.  She will be remembered as a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She will be dearly missed.
