Jason Matthew Davino, age 36, passed away Monday, March 15, after a courageous, two-year battle with Stage IV Malignant Melanoma. Jason was born October 10, 1973, in Anaheim, CA to John James Jr. and Patricia Hope (Miller) Davino. Jason spent his childhood in both Northern and Southern California. He attended Golden West Elementary School, graduated from Manteca High and continued on to graduate from Woodruff Cosmetology in Stockton.

People may remember Jason from when he managed the shoe and jewelry  departments at Walmart, or when styling hair at Great Clips Salon. Jason, as co-owner/operator of Fuzion Salon and Spa, formerly Genesis  Salon, made his mark as one of the greatest hair stylists to-go-to for  the latest trends. Jason, a very shy person, was one of the most giving  of people, who would drop everything just to help someone. He just did it out of the goodness of his heart.  Jason was devoted to caring for his mother Patti, who suffers from bone degeneration and epilepsy. To see Jason and his brother Joshua together one knew that the love  and respect they shared for each other was genuine. The love and warmth between the two brothers was unsurpassable.

Jason is survived by his mother,  Patricia Hope Allen of Manteca; his father, John James Davino Jr. of Huntington Beach, CA; brothers, Joshua Levi Davino of Manteca, Michael Sean Murphy, and Keenan Joseph Davino, Huntington Beach, CA; his  grandmother, Bernadette Rose Davino, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins  and friends who will miss him deeply.

The Davino family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to family, friends and this amazing community for coming together and lending their help and support during  this extremely difficult time.

A “Celebration of Life” honoring Jason will be held at the home of Jack and Midge Ruggles, 6226  Choctaw Court, Manteca, CA 95336 on Sunday, April 11, from  1 to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, to help  defray funeral costs, a memorial account has been set up at the Wells  Fargo Bank, Manteca, CA c/o Joshua L. Davino, Account #8046612571.
