Born in Cortland, NY, on June 22, 1957, Jay Charles Hoag went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2014. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Becky Hoag and stepson,  Andrew Bartlett, his children, Finlay Hoag, Neil (Markail) Hoag, Daniel (Lauren) Hoag, Casey Hoag and their mother, Connie Hoag. His parents are Chuck and Ann Hoag, and siblings are Jill (Bud) Schemper, and  Jett (Lisa) Hoag.
    He is also survived by his uncle, Don Macdonald of Florida, nieces and nephews, Amy (Eric) Parsons, Brad (Nicole) Schemper, Laura Schemper, Katie (Aaron) Heether, Ricky Hoag and Jody Hoag.
   JC graduated from Ripon Christian High School and Cal State Stanislaus. He was employed for many years as an electrical engineer with PG&E. 
   A Christian celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 11a.m at First Christian Reformed Church, 305 West Boesch Ave, Ripon, CA. The service will be followed by a reception.  He will forever be in our hearts, and will be greatly missed.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ripon Christian Schools, 435 Maple Ave, in Ripon 95366, Modesto Pregnancy Center, 2801 Coffee Road, Modesto, 95355, or a charity of your choice.
