Jean Doris Stettnichs, 80, was taken by our Lord on February 21, 2015 in Salida, Ca.  surrounded by her family. She was born in Cache, Arkansas on August 20, 1934 to the late Howard and Sadie Mitchell. In heaven she joins her parents as well as her adored daughter Twilla Galapon, siblings, Raymond Mitchell, Bill Mitchell and Carma Mitchell.
   Jean leaves behind her husband of 24 years, Douglas, of Salida, her daughters Connie Solis of Manteca, Renee Ortega of Manteca, and Kelly Ellifritz of Arnold. In addition Jean leaves eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
   Jean was a former Manteca resident before making home in Salida.  She owned and operated a cleaning service company, where she would eventually retired Jean was social and could have conversation with just about anyone. She was funny and at times a bit tenacious. She usually accomplished what she set her mind to.  Jean was loving and nurturing.  She loved being useful, and was eager to help whenever needed.  Her zest for life was felt by everyone and her elegance never went unnoticed. She will be remembered as an amazing wife, loving mother and adored grandmother. She will be missed.
P.L. fry is honored to serve Jean’s family. Visitation will be on Thursday March 5th, 2015 from 10am to 12:00 noon with a Celebration of Life immediately following all held at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. She will be laid to rest at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and E. Harney Lane, Lodi.
