Jean-Maurice Berube Jr., 72, grew up in the Millbrae area and was born in Whittier, California on August 4, 1940. He entered into rest on February 7, 2013 in San Francisco. surrounded by his loving family. He joins his parents in heaven; Jean-Maurice Sr. and Ariel Nadyne Berube as well as, his brother-in-law; Eddie Wiegner.
Mr. Berube is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Kathleen Berube. He was blessed by two daughters; Monica Brown and husband Greg and Julie Kemp and husband Frank. He adored his 6 grandchildren; Steven, Shayne, Skylar and Shyanne Brown and Ryan and Travis Kemp. He has three siblings Roland Berube and wife Beverly, Pierre Berube and wife Joyce and Jacqueline Wiegner. In addition, he had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jean-Maurice was known to most of his family and friends as “John” or “Maurice” He was a graduate of San Jose State University where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree. He proudly served his country through the United Sates Air Force; he was honorably discharged in 1963. He was retired from Cadence Design of Silicon Valley as a Tech Writer and also from San Jose City College as a professor in Electronics. He was a member of both Tracy Elks Lodge and San Jose Elks Lodge. Maurice was the fun-loving jokester of his family. He loved keeping in touch with friends by email; always sending out the newest joke to everyone he knew. In his younger years he was an avid roller skater. Special times with his wife were extremely important to him, especially when it came to ballroom dancing with her. He cherished his times with his 6 grandchildren. Fun times, joking, laughing and just hanging out with his grandchildren always warmed his heart. Maurice will be remembered for his outgoing infectious personality, his love for people, and his soft heart he had for his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. P.L.
