Jerry Sexton passed away on March 31, 2009.

He was born in Stockton on October 15, 1964 to Bill and Barbara Sexton and was preceded in death by his father Bill and his brothers Stephen and Jon.

Jerry was involved in the auto sales industry for much of his life and at the time of his passing was dealer principal of Sexton Chevrolet in Manteca.

He and his father oversaw the construction of Sexton Chevrolet (formerly Tradeway Chevrolet) in 2003 and they were both very proud of the dealership.

Jerry was a natural salesman because he never met a stranger and loved nothing more than talking to people and turning them not just into customers but into friends as well.

He was a past president of Kiwanis’ Manteca branch and served on the Board of Directors of the Manteca Boys and Girls Club for several years. He was also a member of Manteca Presbyterian until transferring to Lincoln Presbyterian Church in Stockton.

Jerry is survived by his mother Barbara, his children Leslie and William and their mother Linda, his brother Scott (Pilar) and his uncle Bill (Donna) Hostetter.

There will be a memorial service for Jerry on Tuesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Presbyterian Church at 900 W. Douglas Road in Stockton.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice or remember Jerry by performing an unexpected act of kindness for someone.
