Jim Bunch, 53, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his residence.  He was a lifelong resident of Tracy. He was born Feb. 8, 1958.

Jim was a Tracy High graduate of 1976. He worked as an electrician rewiring gas stations. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers, and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed gardening, camping, hiking, listening to music, playing the guitar and BBQing.  He had a good sense of humor, really enjoyed a good joke and loved his cats. He was a proud grandfather and loved spending time with his family and friends

The Tracy native is survived by his wife Dianne Bunch of 25 years; daughter Melissa Cordes and husband John of Nebraska; sisters Caroline Jones of Mariposa and Kathy Kloeb and husband Kim of Manteca; brother Bill Bunch and wife Linda of Sonora; parents Otto and Yvonne Bunch of Sonora; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by siblings Liz Phillips, John Bunch, and Donald Bunch.

Memorial services will be Friday, May 27, 2011, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., Sonora,

There will be no visitation.

Inurnment will be private.
