   Jimmie Earl Younger, Sr., was surrounded by his loving family when he entered into rest on April 25, 2015. The youngest of five children; he was born on August 4, 1945 in Sulphur Springs, TX. 
   Jimmie was a proud Vietnam War Veteran that honorably served three tours on the USS Eldorado.  While stationed at the Naval Station in San Diego, CA he met the love of his life, Mary Flores.  Jimmie and Mary were married in 1966 in Old Town San Diego.  Jim and Mary eventually relocated to Livermore, CA for Jimmie to start his career at The Livermore National Lab.  He worked for the lab for 37 years until his retirement in 2004. 
   While Jimmie was very proud of his career at the lab and of his Naval service, he was most proud of his family.  He was the proud father of two sons, Jimmie, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and John Younger of Manteca, CA and proud grandfather of Abriana and Zachary Younger of Colorado Springs, CO. Jimmie was a dedicated family man that loved his “Little Wife” and bragged about her any opportunity he had.  Jimmie’s entire life was spent serving his family and his Lord and Savior.  His passing is a huge loss to all who knew and loved him.
   Jimmie is preceded in death by his mother Ruby Younger, his siblings, Allen Younger, Gwen Bruce and Gloria Pullen all of Paradise, CA.
    He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Younger, sons Jimmie, Jr. and John Younger, daughter-in-law Kathy Younger, grandchildren Abriana and Zachary Younger and brother James Younger, as well as, a large extended family and several lifelong friends.
   Services for Jimmie will be held Thursday, April 25th at 8:30 a.m. at Freedom Christian Center located at 700 N. Union, Manteca, CA  95336.  An Honorable Veteran burial will follow at 11:30am at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery located  at 32053 McCable Rd., Santa Nella Village, CA 95322.  Floral arrangements may be delivered to Freedom Christian Center or donations in Jimmie’s memory can be made to Asera Care Hospice, 2529 W March Lane, Ste. 101, Stockton, CA 95207.  An online guest book is available for condolences at www.parkviewmortuary.com.
