Jimmie Leona Shoup, 82 years of age, passed away in her sleep March 31, 2009, in Manteca.
Born Dec. 24, 1926, to Wilfred and Rebecca Harrell, in Paxon, OK., she married Dean L. Shoup in 1943 and lived in the Los Angeles area, Central City, NE, Visalia, Tracy, SKP Park in Sutherlin, OR, Stockton, Lodi, and most recently Manteca.
Jimmie retired as a nurse’s assistant at Tracy Hospital in Tracy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Shoup, oldest son, Bob Shoup, and half-sister, Bettye Reneick. She is survived by sons Ed (Nancy) Shoup, Manteca, Mike Shoup, Las Vegas, NV, daughter in law Kathy Shoup, Stockton, half brothers, Reuben (Pat) Harrell, Temple, TX, and Ken (Helen) Harrell, Tyler, TX; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She requested no visitation or service. Arrangements are with Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, Lodi, Ca, with interment in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine.
